Repair Terms & Policies

419 Electronic Repair LLC
Effective Date: August 10, 2026

We want you to know exactly what to expect when you trust us with your device.

419 Electronic Repair LLC is a small, family-oriented electronics repair business specializing in mail-in repairs. We believe in treating every customer's device with care, providing honest communication, and making the repair process as straightforward as possible.

By submitting a device to 419 Electronic Repair LLC for inspection, diagnosis, or repair, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and policies outlined on this page.

Throughout these terms, “419 Electronic Repair LLC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to 419 Electronic Repair LLC, and “customer,” “you,” and “your” refer to the person submitting a device for service.

1. Mail-In Repair Service

419 Electronic Repair LLC currently operates primarily as a mail-in electronics repair service. Customers are responsible for safely packaging and shipping their devices to us unless otherwise agreed upon.

We recommend using a shipping service that provides tracking and insurance. We are not responsible for damage or loss that occurs while a device is being shipped to us when the damage or loss is caused by the carrier or inadequate packaging.

Once your device arrives, we will inspect it and communicate with you regarding the requested repair and any additional issues that may affect the repair.

2. Repair Authorization

No repair work beyond the service authorized by the customer will be performed without the customer's approval when additional charges are involved.

If we discover additional damage or problems during the repair process, we will contact you and provide the available options before performing additional chargeable work.

Approval may be provided electronically, including by email, text message, or through our online ordering system.

We will not knowingly charge a customer for repair work that the customer has not authorized.

3. Diagnosis and Inspection

Some devices may require diagnosis or disassembly before the cause of a problem can be determined.

If a diagnostic or inspection fee applies, that fee will be disclosed before the service is performed.

A device may have pre-existing damage, corrosion, liquid damage, internal damage, or other conditions that cannot be identified until the device is opened or tested.

Diagnosis of a device does not guarantee that the device will be repairable.

4. Pre-Existing Damage and Additional Problems

Electronics can have multiple unrelated or interconnected problems. A device may also contain damage that is not visible from the outside.

We are not responsible for unrelated pre-existing problems that become apparent during or after an authorized repair.

If a repair reveals additional problems that were not part of the original repair request, we will communicate those findings to the customer whenever reasonably possible.

5. Data and Personal Information Stored on Devices

Customers are responsible for backing up their data before sending a device to us.

Repair procedures may require resetting, updating, restoring, disassembling, or otherwise modifying a device. In some circumstances, data may become inaccessible or may be lost.

We do not guarantee the preservation or recovery of photos, videos, contacts, messages, applications, accounts, files, or other personal information stored on a device.

We strongly recommend backing up your device before shipping it to us whenever possible.

We will not intentionally access, copy, disclose, or use a customer's personal information except when reasonably necessary to perform, diagnose, test, or complete an authorized repair.

6. Parts

Replacement parts may be new, aftermarket, refurbished, or otherwise specified as part of the repair.

The type of replacement part to be used will be disclosed when it is material to the repair or when required by law.

Where applicable, customers may request information regarding the type of part used in their repair.

7. Replaced Parts

Customers may request their replaced parts unless the parts are required to be returned to a manufacturer or supplier, are being retained for warranty purposes, or are otherwise subject to an agreed-upon exception.

If you would like your replaced parts returned, please request them before or at the time the repair is authorized.

8. Repair Warranty

Unless otherwise stated on the customer's invoice or repair order, repairs performed by 419 Electronic Repair LLC are covered by the warranty period stated on the applicable repair listing or invoice.

Our repair warranty covers the workmanship and the specific part or repair performed.

The warranty does not cover:

  • New physical damage
  • Liquid or moisture damage occurring after the repair
  • Accidental damage
  • Abuse or misuse
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repair or attempted repair
  • Damage caused by modification of the device after our repair
  • Problems unrelated to the original repair
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Software problems unrelated to the repair
  • Other failures caused by circumstances outside the original repair

Warranty claims may require the device to be returned to us for inspection.

9. Water and Liquid Resistance

Opening or repairing a device can affect factory seals, adhesives, and water or dust resistance.

We do not guarantee that a device will retain its original water, dust, or liquid resistance after repair unless a specific service expressly states otherwise.

A device should not be considered waterproof simply because it was originally marketed as water resistant.

10. Device Functionality

We will make reasonable efforts to test the functionality relevant to the repair being performed.

Certain functions may not be testable if the device has an existing fault, security lock, disabled feature, missing component, severe damage, or another condition preventing proper testing.

A repair of one component does not guarantee that every function of a device will operate normally when other unrelated problems exist.

11. Repair Cancellation or Declined Repair

If a customer chooses not to proceed with a repair after diagnosis or after work has begun, charges may apply for authorized diagnostic work, labor already performed, parts that have been installed or specially ordered, and reasonable disassembly or reassembly work, where applicable.

Any such charges will be disclosed to the customer when applicable.

12. Shipping After Repair

Once a repair has been completed and payment has been received, the device will be returned using the shipping method selected or otherwise agreed upon by the customer.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate return shipping address.

We are not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the shipping carrier after the repaired device has been shipped.

13. Unclaimed Devices

Customers are responsible for retrieving or accepting delivery of their repaired devices.

If a device remains unclaimed or a customer does not respond to repeated attempts to contact them, 419 Electronic Repair LLC may treat the device as abandoned after providing reasonable notice.

Any disposition of an abandoned device will be handled in accordance with applicable Ohio law.

14. Pricing and Estimates

Repair prices displayed on our website are based on the information available at the time the service is listed and may not account for additional damage discovered after inspection.

Where an estimate is provided, it represents the anticipated cost based on the information available at that time.

Additional necessary work will not be performed for an additional charge without customer authorization when required by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive or limit any consumer rights provided by Ohio or federal law.

15. Payment

Payment is required according to the terms provided with the repair order.

If a customer declines a repair after work has been authorized and performed, the customer may still be responsible for authorized diagnostic, labor, parts, or other applicable charges.

16. Customer Responsibility for Device Ownership

By submitting a device to 419 Electronic Repair LLC, the customer represents that they are the owner of the device or are authorized by the owner to request the repair.

We do not knowingly accept stolen property or devices submitted without the owner's authorization.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that any passcodes, account credentials, or other information provided to us are supplied with proper authorization.

17. Limitation of Liability

419 Electronic Repair LLC will exercise reasonable care while a customer's device is in our possession.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that are unrelated to the authorized repair, including loss of data, loss of use, business interruption, or other indirect losses.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Ohio or federal law.

18. Privacy

We collect and use customer information only as reasonably necessary to process orders, communicate with customers, perform repairs, process payments, provide shipping services, and operate our business.

We do not sell customer device data or intentionally access personal content beyond what is reasonably necessary to perform or test an authorized repair.

For more information about how customer information is handled, please see our Privacy Policy.

19. Changes to These Terms

419 Electronic Repair LLC may update these terms from time to time as our services, business practices, or applicable laws change.

The version of these terms in effect at the time a repair is authorized will generally apply to that repair, unless otherwise required by law.

20. Contact Us

If you have questions about these terms, your repair, or a device submitted to us, please contact us through the contact information provided on our website.
